There is a fine line between being obsessed with gaming and having a passion for gaming. There are many news reports about how video games affect a person's mental mind, as to go out and try to do what they see in the video games they play. That can't all be true. If that one person cannot determine between what is real and what is fiction, they shouldn't be playing video games in the first place. There are times where someone wishes things that happen in video games would happen in real life. That's just wishful thinking.
On to the topic of passionate gamers. Passionate gamers know their limits to how much of the game they should be preoccupied with. Yes, gamers tend to spend all day trying to complete a mission in Black Ops, but you know most gamers have jobs so they could pay for their hobby. Passionate gamers are informed with almost every game they come across, if it is in the genre they are interested in. Also, passionate gamers expands their horizons. They play different games and don't stick to just one genre.
Obssession with gaming does exist unfortunately. There are people who probably pretend they are Sora from Kingdom Hearts and think evil people are the Heartless and they feel they need to destroy those "Heartless." Maybe that is too indepth, but there are some sick people out there.
The question of this article shall exist within your mind. What makes you passionate about gaming? Is it to the point where it is obsession?
